Lichtenau Restaurant am See in Nussloch

We went to the Steinerwirt for dinner on September 2020 with 4 people. On the basis of an evening menu offer on a blackboard in the beer garden and restaurant, we decided on this evening menu. We also pointed this out when ordering. In the billing, this was not charged with the advertised subscription price of € 17.90 but billed individually as € 4.90 soup and € 18.90 pork knuckle. When I mentioned that it said we should have stated that when ordering. Is an absolute cheek because we did that when we ordered. And also additional offers that are advertised at the restaurant must also be complied with. We were harshly turned away with our complaint. Since we are only tourists who will never come back !!! In that case, really ...

Sadly we arrived late and the place was almost closing. But they let us chose a dish to take and a dessert. The service was really fast, and the food was tasty and super delicious. The cake of the day was juicy.

If you are looking for a good bourgeois inn, this is the place for you. Great daily offers at very affordable prices. Portions more than enough and very friendly staff. Gladly again!

We were there at the hotel and stayed there for several days. We had booked half board there and the breakfast as well as the dinner tasted very good! The staff is very friendly too. I can only recommend eating / staying there!

Fantastic dishes

There were five of us eating in the restaurant. The meal was okay. Unfortunately the T-bone steak was not medium as ordered. After a complaint this was blanched and brought back to the table. Then we were told that the steak was medium. Absolute joke. The meat was done through. Hence 3 stars. The service was very friendly and attentive. Since the shop was full, longer waiting times are not a criterion for a bad rating. Good restaurant but doesn't do steaks.

Incredibly rude service. Although 3/4 of the pub and beer garden were empty, we were only offered a table that was half in the rain and was wet. When we asked that we would like to sit elsewhere, we were only offered to leave the restaurant. Of course we were very happy to do that :-) In a place that consists almost entirely of restaurants, luckily better alternatives are not rare.

Great restaurant. The food is really delicious and the portion is more than enough ... The half duck is highly recommended! The red cabbage and the napkin dumplings are particularly tasty 😃 The staff is very nice and friendly!

Great place in the heart of Zell am see. I recommend the Schnitzel, probably best one in town. Hope to visit again soon

Very cozy atmosphere, especially in the guest garden - you can enjoy loving and high-quality dishes here under the large chestnut tree. Here even the boss serves personally - together with his very attentive staff. The homemade pralines are also highly recommended. We will be happy to come back at the next opportunity!

If you want to relax with delicious food, this is the place!

Today there are only three stars! Compared to our last visit to Zell am See, the kitchen - we were there in the late afternoon - has deteriorated! The ladies' room was not a calling card for this inn either. Only the staff in the garden deserves 5 stars. Very polite and courteous!

Good deal for a hearty meal!

Incredibly good. From starter to dessert, simply very, very good. Drinks were also delicious. Service attentive and nice. An all-round successful evening !!

On the advice of the owner of our guest house, we ate here the first night. Staff were very rushed, curt and not very friendly. The food tasted okay, but was relatively expensive and little compared to the other restaurants we have visited. If you have a choice ... I would go through

First of all, high praise to the waiter (blonde and slim). We haven't seen such good service for a long time! We tried to reserve a table over the phone at short notice. We were then told that all tables were fully booked by 9 p.m. A spontaneous appearance would also make no sense. We tried anyway - with success. The food was delicious and authentic.

Every dish is a poem and the service is perfect, attentive and friendly and accurate. Seldom enjoyed such a good all-round service in a tourist place! Hats off!

Nice restaurant in the middle of Zell am See. Friendly and quick service. Price / performance great!

A very interesting restaurant in such an old style, I especially liked the well-preserved old creaking parquet floors. The only and perhaps such completely banal disadvantage for me was that no music played there. On the one hand, one can enjoy the silence, but on the other hand, the silence bothered him a bit when we wanted to talk to a friend. I don't need to have the music loud but just so pleasant not loud could be something. The staff very friendly served us young very nice waitress. The food was delicious and full. When paying, we received chocolate pralines, because after a good sour meal, you no longer have room for dessert, so such a praline will fit you in an hour. Dear thank you 🙏

A bit slow service at first but the general impression was good. Would not consider this place for fine dining but the food was still good.

My family love this hotel. It is in the city center of Zell am See, 5 minutes from City express which takes you to the slopes of Schmitten. Excellent food and fascinating view to the slopes from the Jacuzzi on the roof!

Perfect Austrian Hospitality at its best with fine food. Service was very prompt and food was excellent in my opinion. Server was so friendly and giving suggestions to the different dishes. One of the best hospitality received in Europe for me. Desserts which we ordered was almost perfect. A nice place to spend Christmas at. The owner is very lucky to have such a good waiter!

I tried the "Rind Gulasch", half the meet cuts were not fresh in the food. Some how mixed with the old Gulasch from last week!!! The salmon fish was only OK. The schnitzel is pretty small in compare. Overall, the quality and the size of the food is lower than average. The kind and responsive staff are the highlight of this restaurant.

It’s ok, sometimes you can hear the noise from the street. BE CAREFUL THERE IS NO PARKING even if you have a reservation

It's quite an elegant restaurant, daily menu was affordable though and it was really well prepared. we tried salzburger nockerl here and it was so huge that after our main dishes the four of us couldn't finish so be aware:)

We visited there for dinner and it was so crowded as it was high scored restaurant in Tripadvisor. The waitress was not kind and food was bad. We ordered austrian classic dishes and those were served in 5mins. I think they just warmed pre-cooked dishes. That’s not what i expected for “Classic Austrian dishes”. And of course the dishes were not tasty at all. Even we don’t know how we eat that little flour dough things...Waitress didn’t explain how to eat that traditional food and she seemed like too busy to serve us. I do not recommend this restaurant.

The best Salzburger Nockerln at a good price.

Excellent rack of lamb and wiener schnitzel. Nice to sit in the shade under the trees. Polite and effective service.

We visited for dinner and were left dissapointed. Although it was quite busy part of our order was forgotten and later in the evening our bill was forgotten a couple of times as well. The food was decent but both the chicken and wiener schnitzel left a bit to be desired. The schnitzel was greasy and the parsley potatoes were undercooked. Overall a good spot but pales in comparison to other meals in Austria.

Everything we had was tasty and well made. The coffee even came with a homemade cookie
